I am a bioprocess development scientist with over eight years of industrial experience in downstream process development, manufacturing sciences and technology (MSAT), technology transfer, protein sciences, and GMP biomanufacturing. My expertise spans the complete biologics development lifecycle, from early discovery and process development to process characterization, scale-up, manufacturing support, process validation, and commercial technology transfer.

Throughout my career, I have contributed to the development of more than 60 biologic molecules across diverse therapeutic modalities, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins, growth factors, biosimilars, vaccines, viral vectors, plasmid DNA, gene therapy products, and plant-derived biologics. I have extensive experience in designing and optimizing scalable downstream purification processes using affinity, ion exchange, mixed-mode, hydrophobic interaction, reverse-phase, and size-exclusion chromatography, along with tangential flow filtration (TFF), ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF), and membrane-based separation technologies.

My professional experience includes leadership and technical roles at Zatloukal Innovations GmbH (Austria), Aurigene Discovery Biologics (Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories), CuraTeQ Biologics, Biocon Biologics, Mynvax, Stelis Biopharma, Appasamy Biopharma, and Tallinn University of Technology. These roles have provided me with broad expertise in recombinant protein expression, analytical characterization, structural biology, CMC development, process troubleshooting, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional project leadership.

I have successfully supported technology transfer, manufacturing readiness, engineering and GMP manufacturing campaigns, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives in both development and commercial manufacturing environments. My approach combines scientific rigor with practical manufacturing expertise to develop robust, scalable, and cost-effective bioprocesses that accelerate product development and commercialization.

I currently lead downstream bioprocess development and quality control activities for next-generation plant-derived biologics. I am a marketing strategist first, working at the intersection of science, technology, and commercial growth, and adopt and build with AI faster than most of my field. That blend of deep domain fluency and early AI craft is what turns buyer insight into commercial outcomes that survive internal scrutiny.

I holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bristol, an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, and BSI certification in AI Management Systems (ISO/IEC 42001:2023), one of a small number of practitioners globally to hold that credential. I write for Forbes and am authoring my own book on this topic matter.

Industry-focused structural biologist, team leader, and consultant with over 14 years of experience across biotech startups, pharma, and world-class academic institutes (EMBL, University of Bristol). Proven expertise in end-to-end vaccine and biologics development, with a specialization in protein engineering, molecular design, advanced vaccine platforms (VLPs), and multiprotein complexes. Strong track record of translating complex structural biology into scalable, deployable products, bridging the gap between R&D discovery and clinical manufacturing (CMC, USP/DSP, and CDMO tech transfer). My area of study is the intersection of clinical neuroscience, translational pharmacology, and computational biomarker discovery. I am a PhD candidate investigating how glymphatic and meningeal–lymphatic pathways relate to neuroinflammation in humans. I focus on immune-cell phenotyping and cell-free markers that may index inflammatory activity and neurodegenerative trajectories. Alongside sampling development, I contribute to assay and workflow optimisation for mass-spectrometry-ready proteomics, with an emphasis on automation, quality control, and reproducibility.

My pharmacology and drug-safety foundation was built through an MRes in Biological Science and Translational Medicine. I examined dose- and time-dependent paracetamol-induced kidney injury in renal cell models, differentiating apoptotic and necrotic mechanisms and linking experimental readouts to clinically relevant nephrotoxicity questions. I completed a systematic review on cilastatin as a renoprotective strategy and critically evaluated in vitro acute kidney injury models for translational validity. I also gained ward-level exposure as a Clinical Research Associate in nephrology, aligning laboratory findings with real-world clinical pathways and multidisciplinary decision-making.

From an industry and communications perspective, I have experience in medical affairs-adjacent work, including market analysis to support launch planning in an ophthalmic pharmaceutical company and the development of compliant training materials with medical teams. I have delivered conference and hospital presentations, tailoring complex findings to both clinical and public audiences, and I have completed structured projects on European compliance frameworks, which underpins my approach to regulatorily aware medical writing.

Computationally, I build end-to-end machine-learning workflows in Python and R for noisy, high-dimensional datasets, particularly proteomics and multimodal clinical data. My toolkit spans supervised learning, unsupervised clustering, and dimensionality reduction.

Overall, my expertise is translating complex biomedical and quantitative evidence into actionable deliverables, supported by an MBA in Clinical Leadership and a strong biochemistry foundation, including earlier research on TEX12 expression in somatic and cancer models.

Strategic Product Management/Marketing Leader with 25+ years of experience in life sciences, specializing in product management, new product development, developing global marketing strategy within the IVD, oncology, and infectious disease markets. Extensive experience leading multifunctional teams, building stakeholder relationships, and launching products involving advanced technologies, including NGS.

I am a freelance Quality Assurance consultant/auditor with 14 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry and I offer QMS development/support and Lead Auditor services for Life Science and Biotech organisations. My most recent role prior to freelance work was as the Global Supplier Quality Manager for a Biotech organisation where I was responsible for management of over 100 suppliers, with oversight of a small team of auditors and conduct of audits as a Lead Auditor in support for Clinical operations, as well as development/support for the site QMS.

With more than 10 years of R&D experience in biochemistry and infection biology, I am a Senior Scientist for Surface Chemistry in Biotechnology at e-Proteins, the world leader in avidin derivatives production. I have been applying my expertise and skills to develop innovative binding protein solutions for diagnostic, biotech, and pharma industries, addressing the main challenges of streptavidin-based applications.

As a team leader and co-founder of Sapoto, I have also been managing and coordinating a team of 30 employees, integrating external service providers, and overseeing the quality management activities for other test centers. I hold the credentials of QMB Manager and Internal Auditor, which enable me to ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and GCP standards. My mission is to contribute to the advancement of biotechnology and improve the quality and reliability of binding protein products.

I consider myself an "all-rounder," but as a consultant, I focus on helping clients with their marketing, bringing my experience from the last 25 years working in a range of commercial roles at top life science companies. After a Ph.D. and post-docs, I started my first non-lab role in tech support, then developed my business skills in sales and business development before progressing to senior management positions in marketing, product management, and business unit management, where I founded and led international teams.

I've worked with commercial and technical teams at >200 life science companies - distributors, manufacturers, and OEM resellers in public companies, private companies, and startups. As a consultant, I take on a range of commercial projects, mainly in the marketing/product management realm, specializing in writing engaging content to attract and convert customers, including websites and sales tools.
